The North Lincolnshire (Brigg) Music & Drama Festival began in 1900 as the Musical Competitions, founded by Lady Winefride Elwes, wife of the internationally acclaimed tenor, Gervase Elwes. Apart from the two World Wars and a very short period in the fifties, the Festival has continued, year after year to attract entries in Music & Drama classes. In 2020 we were due celebrate our 100th Festival, which was postponed due to the global pandemic. The festival is thrilled to be back welcoming new participants and encouraging entrants young and old to experience the joy that festivals can bring.
